The 2017 Committee are excited to announce the call for abstracts for the 38th National Conference of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT). The conference is to take place from Thursday 26 October – Saturday 28 October, at the Crown Plaza Coogee Beach Hotel, Coogee, Sydney, NSW. ‘Innovations in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies across the Lifespan’ is this year’s conference theme. Extending the very best traditions of previous Conferences, we plan to represent the cutting edge of evidence-based practice and science in both cognitive and behavioural therapies, as well as third wave approaches. We are particularly pleased to offer exciting invited speakers with expertise across the lifespan from children to older adults

Quitting Cannabis, 1-6 Sessions: This workshop was developed by the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC). It is specifically designed for clinicians who treat people experiencing problematic cannabis use. The workshop covers a comprehensive, evidence-based intervention which the clinician may deliver over 1 – 6 sessions.
