Overdose Awareness Day is approaching on Wednesday 31st August
IOD is a
global event held each year to raise awareness of overdose and reduce stigma of
drug related death. It also acknowledges
the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have met with
death or permanent injury as a result of drug overdose.
IOD aims to
spread the message that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable.
